The acting President of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, received today in a meeting the President of the United Roma Party of Kosovo, and an elected member of the next legislature, Albert Kinolli, as well as representatives of the Roma community.

Konjufca accepted the recognition for the contribution to the Roma Community Issue that the guests gave him on this International Roma Day, expressing his thanks and reiterating the importance of maintaining joint commitment.

According to a statement from the Parliament, the interlocutors discussed current political and social issues in our country, which include the Roma community in Kosovo.

Konjufca said that we must further increase our dedication and commitment to ever greater social and economic development in Kosovo, with comprehensive and all-encompassing inclusion, in the continuous promotion of democracy and human rights, despite all forms of exclusion.

He also brought to attention that the inclusion of the Roma community, as well as all non-majority communities, in political, social and economic life is in the interest not only of these communities, but of our entire society with aspirations for progress.
