
At the Learning Center in the village of Prelluzhë, the Municipality of Vushtrri marked International Roma Day, a day that not only commemorates the rich history and culture of the Roma community, but also highlights the ongoing need for inclusion, equality, and equal opportunities for all citizens.
The event was attended by the Director of the Municipal Directorate of Education (DKA), Albanez Tahiraj, representatives from the OSCE, representatives from the Local Office for Communities in the Municipality of Vushtrri, as well as representatives of the NGO “Romano Anglunipe.”
The Mayor of Vushtrri, Ferit Idrizi, remains committed to supporting the Roma community, subsidizing their education every year with an amount of 12,000.00 euros.
According to a statement from the municipality, at the conclusion of the event, a call was made for joint engagement from all institutions and citizens, for a society that values all its members and offers everyone the opportunity to build the life they deserve.
