Social media are a necessary way for businesses to succeed, especially those that have women present, to have the opportunity to develop further, increase the number of customers, increase the number of products and have a more reliable presence in social media. This was said today in Prishtina, during the training with women who produce healthy foods, with the topic “Online Sales”.
Within this project, which is implemented by the non-governmental organization “Center for Innovations and Development”, and financed by the Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation “SlovakAid”, many of the women shared their experiences with the products they make.
The purpose of this training is to support women’s businesses that produce healthy foods, showing more about how to promote their products on social media.
The ones who learned from this training were women who have their own businesses dealing with fruit and vegetable processing, beekeeping and other products.
Citizen Nadire Hasani from Mitrovica Municipality, while expressing her happiness from what was elaborated in the training, added that in the future she will promote her products as much as possible on social media.
“I have been dealing with fruit and vegetable processing for 12 years. I have my own business, it is in Frashër. There we work with ‘ajvar’, pickles… These trainings are very important for any business… (promoting products on social media) is a very good method because you can sell it online through social media,” she said.
Nerxhivane Krasniqi from the Municipality of Vushtrri, which deals with the processing of fruits and vegetables and dairy products, said that this training is important for learning about business promotion in social media and their opening.
“This training has a great value, especially for start-ups and those of us who do business in rural areas, because through social media we have the opportunity to sell more online, so it’s worth it.
I have started, but very little, with online sales, but with what we learned during the training, they will be more useful even more… I have been dealing with the processing of fruits and vegetables and dairy products for two years, soon I will do an individual business because I am starting to expand in the market as well”, said Krasniqi.
Linda Baleta, trainer in this project, said that the online presence and the use of digital channels for marketing and sales is the goal of today’s training.
“Online presence and the use of digital marketing and sales channels, this is the goal of the training today with a group of women who own their own businesses, mainly in the field of food processing, beekeeping and others… We addressed the importance of their online presence, through various channels as a means of strengthening the brand but also for increasing their sales”, said Baleta.
Meanwhile, this training with over 20 women was held also online. Moreover, the training cycle will continue with women in the business field from all over Kosovo, in which there will be even more detailed information and advice regarding how to do business as well as possible.
