We are pleased to announce the resumption of training sessions for six young individuals from the Roma, Egyptian, and Ashkali communities, who are part of the significant project: “Challenging Negative Stereotypes of the Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian Communities in Kosovo through Media Initiatives.” This project aims to enhance the media skills and capacities of these groups, enabling them to actively contribute to changing negative perceptions and spreading accurate information about their communities.
The project is being implemented by the Center for Innovations and Development (CFID), in partnership with the news agency KosovaPress, and is supported by the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK).
Following the completion of two initial modules in journalism and production, the youth showed exceptional commitment during today’s sessions, which included both theoretical methodology and practical activities in the field of infographics and video graphics. This process aims to develop new and advanced skills in creating visual content, enriching their media experience.
This project holds significant value in strengthening the capacities of youth from these communities, enabling them to become influential leaders and activists in the media field, contributing to a fairer and more equal society for all.
We are especially pleased to offer opportunities for the professional development of youth and will continue to support initiatives that promote diversity and integration in Kosovo’s society.
